“Our research focuses on understanding the neural basis of fundamental cognitive processes. To this end, we combine multimodal imaging techniques (in particular functional magnetic resonance imaging) and network analyses (e.g., dynamic causal modeling, DCM). Current projects investigate, for example, which networks underlie the perception of faces and emotions, how the two hemispheres of the brain interact in this process, and how internal representations of faces, for example, influence the processing of stimuli.“
