Dr. Hauke Niehaus
Associated Postdoc
“I’m a psychologist by training and a data scientist by experience with a PhD in psychology. My postdoc is focused on the joint cognitive-computational modeling of multimodal human data sources (behavioral data, eye-tracking metrics, and reaction time) and neuroimaging data, primarily using Bayesian methodology. This approach includes diverse data-driven machine learning approaches (e.g., Hierarchical Probabilistic Models) and theory-driven cognitive-computational models of learning and perception (e.g., the Hierarchical Gaussian Filter framework or Markov Decision Processes). I’m committed to open science principles, reproducible research, and open-source research software development in Python and R.“
